Universal Beauty School in Sweetwater takes home top award from the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges and the Florida Department of Education
SWEETWATER, FL — Aug. 10, 2012 — Universal Beauty School in Sweetwater has received top honors from the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC), a statewide organization representing more than 200 career-oriented schools and the Florida Department of Education — Commission on Independent Education (CIE).
The school was honored as the Accredited Institution of the Year, bestowing upon it the title of “Best school in the State of Florida” not just in the Beauty field, but also surpassing all other academic institutions, Colleges and Universities in the state of Florida due to the school’s academic delivery and structural organization; this high honor was presented at the FAPSC Annual Conference. The award is given out to one recipient each year.
“Universal Beauty School’s entire institution is focused on students and their education, which is what this award recognizes,” said Kathy Mizereck, executive director of FAPSC.
Fifteen annual awards were selected by a panel and handed out during the FAPSC Annual Conference in South Florida attended by administrators and faculty members from across the state.
The Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC) and the Commission on Independent Education (CIE) work on behalf of all Florida’s degree granting and non-degree granting career schools and colleges. Licensed by the state, these schools educate and prepare more than 379,000 students each year for employment in more than 200 occupational fields.
